Chainsaw artist Stephanie Jones, of Brantrock, MA, shapes a bear statue into a piece of Vermont-logged white pine during a live carving demonstrations at the Vermont State Fair Friday afternoon. Jones and her partner Kevin Black, not pictured, have done 18 statues of bears and other wild animals since opening day and said the fair has been a positive experience despite the rain Friday. "I've been at state fairs during Hurricanes," Black said. "If you think its going to be bad, then it will be," he said.
